   Can someone please tell me what's the exact resolution of a 42MP photo?
   
   I tried googling about it but the nearest result I got was 40MP at 7216 x 5412 resolution.

   I think to calculate the resolution, you would also need the aspect ratio of the image. For example, a 4:3 ratio would be 7483 x 5612, while a 16:9 would be 8640 x 4860.

      Thanks. I do not really know the aspect ratio of it but I kinda get the idea.

      Aspect ratio is calculated by your image dimensions. For example, at your image dimensions 7216 x 5412, your aspect ratio is 4:3

   Take care with this. Is it a 42MP Picture, or was it taken with a 42MP camera. With the camera, the designation ofMP mens that the sensor was cut from a chip that had 42MP in a 1 square inch pice of the chip. If the sensor, was 1/10 of that then it is only capable of providing a picture 1/10 of that size or 4.2 MP.

      It's a 42MP photo not taken with a 42MP camera.
